Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition‘s hidden touchscreen controls are only one of many bizarre discoveries since its initial release earlier this month. This can be used as a valuable source to improve the collection’s ongoing issues – and will likely be added to GTA III and Vice City in the future.
Just recently, modders released a new version of the CLEO plug-in for GTA: San Andreas remaster that allows both players and modders to easily download or enhance the game with modifications. This appears to motivate modders to step-in and improve the remastered collection’s technical issues and overall quality of life. Problems with The Definitive Edition continue to grow nearly every day with no word from Rockstar Games besides a promise for future updates. There is still this widget left in the code, which asks you to choose touch controls. Here is another confirmation that we are playing highly modified mobile ports.
This same widget was previously shown in Vadim M.’s video of San Andreas‘ infamous PS3 port, and originally appeared in the mobile port as an accessibility setting so players can easily navigate mobile device touchscreen features.

The list of titles are live now and playable on all Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One consoles. There’s also some smaller and more niche titles that have been lost to time, such as FROM’s Otogi titles, a pair of action titles that have tones and themes that Dark Souls fans will find familiar, and Binary Domain, a sci-fi action game from the people behind the Yakuza series. games, and every Dead or Alive of the era. There is a lot here of fairly high profile, such as all three Max Payne titles, all F.E.A.R. All of those titles will support Auto HDR for those on the Xbox Series X/S, with 11 of them getting FPS Boost, and of course, many will get resolution bumps depending on your hardware.
